Nicholas Hythe’s environmental policy is a real, living and breathing undertaking that guides everything we do. We’re proud to source 90% of our supplies and services from within the UK. This not only allows us to be competitive but, by supporting other businesses in our region and the UK, we’re also helping you and us do our bit for the economy and the environment. This not only allows us to be competitive but, by supporting other businesses in our region and the UK, we also do our bit for the environment by minimising the number of ‘delivery miles’ we and our suppliers make.
From the very start of your project (‘the rip out’) we use a contractor to thoroughly sort all the components into what’s re-usable and recyclable in order to minimise the amount going in to landfill. For your new kitchen, which is often using many different natural products, conserving resources to ensure there’s plenty for the future is hugely important to us. As you’d expect we source our wood from sustainable sources but we can also consider and advise on the environmental impact of the lighting, appliances and fixtures such as taps to help you make an informed decision. We’re even able to offer an ‘eco-friendly’ worktop option!
Although we won’t change the world on our own, we at Nicholas Hythe are proud of our policy and the link with local providers of goods and services which means that we’re always trying to reduce the environmental impact of our business.
