At Nicholas Hythe our approach is different to our competitors in that we recognise our responsibilities to the communities in which we are involved and want them to thrive and have a sense of coming together. To us, that means more than just where we set up shop. It also means we look to source 90% of the products and services in the UK and locally – thereby creating jobs for companies and their employees in our region and others.
We’re also great believers in retail diversity. Who wants to shop in high streets that have the same stores as everywhere else? Local retailers spend more of the money they earn in their communities, helping them to thrive. We’re not competing against the local greengrocer or hardware shop so why shouldn’t we combine our efforts with other independent retailers to help create fantastic community-spirited localities that people are proud to live and work in?
And, where we can, we’ll look to support local initiatives that can benefit communities. Because we want to keep our prices as competitive as possible we don’t have big marketing budgets but where we can help, we really want to. Whether that’s providing free coffee for people who’ve made the effort to come out and support a community activity or to provide sponsorship for a local deserving cause, if you’ve got a local initiative you’d like us to consider why not drop by our showroom or send us an email via the ‘contact us’ page of this website.
